This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Skill set must include 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and breast interventional procedures including stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound-guided biopsy and MRI-guided biopsy. This position also requires interpretative skills in one or more of the following modalities: general radiography, general ultrasound, computerized tomography and/or general MRI. Call responsibilities will be confined to telephonic consultations and emergency back-up to the after-hours teleradiology service. The physician should possess a good working knowledge of voice recognition and picture archiving communication system (PACS). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred. A formal pay-setting process is used to determine salary.
