Phoenix Children’s is seeking a full-time Medical Director focused on mass spectrometry in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Candidates must possess an M.D./D.O. and/or Ph.D. and be board-certified (or eligible) in Clinical Chemistry from the American Board of Clinical Chemistry or by the American Board of Pathology.  Primary clinical duties will include development and oversight of mass spectrometry methods in biochemical genetics, therapeutic drug monitoring, toxicology, and endocrinology.  Responsibilities in other clinical arenas are expected based on prior experience and interest.  The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, be an active clinical consultant, ensure continuous quality testing improvement, and guide appropriate laboratory
